Copenhagen club Ved Siden Af announces closure, tease “something new”

Copenhagen venue Ved Siden Af is closing its doors for good at the end of the month.

The club’s team, which was also behind Et Andet Sted, announced the news on Instagram yesterday, 10th October, saying they would no longer be operating out of their Vesterbrogade 2b space, their home since 2018. In their statement, the team hinted at the collective’s next era.

“This location has been fundamental to building our community around so many memorable experiences and helping us figure out what we want to contribute to club culture in Copenhagen and the world,” the Ved Siden Af statement reads. “But in the end, we have gotten everything we possibly can out of the space, and our vision is ever-growing. For a while, we have been looking for greener pastures — and now, a dream opportunity has dawned.”

Ved Siden Af’s schedule will continue through its closing party on 29th October, hosted by Group Therapy. The line-up features Octo Octa, Kasper Marott, S-candalo and more.

Further details on the VSA team’s next steps will come after the venue’s final events to “let the last moments at Ved Siden Af be enjoyed to the fullest.”
