Charisse C releases debut EP, ‘EVERGREEN’: Listen

Charisse C’s debut EP, ‘EVERGREEN’, is out now. Listen to it below. 

The Southern African UK-based artist has enlisted a number of collaborators for the four-track EP, released via her label Abantu. Shazmicsoul, Smallkeys, Shingai and Captain Lulaz feature across the record, with DJ Kwamzy collaborating on three of the tracks, including lead single ‘Morning Sun‘. 

Charisse said the amapiano- and 3-Step-influenced EP is her “first exploration of my voice” in a recent Instagram post. She describes it as “an overcoming of fears. A commitment to myself to always exist in my multitudes. Never shrink, never settle. An ode to the many paths that have eventually led me back down this one. A manifestation.”

‘EVERGREEN’ follows the self-titled debut EP from her project with Koek Sistaas, called The Ascension, released last October on Don’t Sleep.
