Blossom Hill releases remix EP featuring Facta, Pépe, more: Listen

Blossom Hill has released a new remix EP on Loose Fit Records. Listen to ‘Home Colours Remixed’ below.

Following the release of his emotionally-charged debut EP, ‘Home Colours’, in July, the Berlin-based DJ and producer returns with four club-centric remixes that “reimagine the tracks for the dancefloor.” The project – released on 7th January – features reworks from artists with an exploratory ear for sound design, including Facta, Debba, Kin Teal and Pépe.

“As it was my first ever release, I was perhaps a little precious about the original tracks,” Blossom Hill – who also works as a label manager and A&R for Seb Wildblood’s all my thoughts label – shared. “Releasing the music was the first catharsis, but handing over the stems feels like the second stage, the beginning of a fresh and exciting new life for these ideas.”

On his peak-time interpretation of ‘Darkest Hour’, Wisdom Teeth co-founder Facta serves up lock-tight techno rhythms, bumping drums and dreamy wobbles, whilst preserving the immersive, diaristic energy of the original track. The remix follows Facta’s own summer EP, ‘So is the sun’, released on Wisdom Teeth in July. DJ Mag premiered the single, ‘Brain Drain’ here.

‘Home Colours Remixed’ is out now via Loose Fit Records. Grab a copy of the EP via Bandcamp, and listen in full below.
