Black Artist Database announces free music production masterclasses with Suzi Analogue, AceMo, more
Black Artist Database (B.A.D.) has unveiled details of its second series of free music production masterclasses.
The new series, in association with Ableton, will kick off on 22nd February with New York’s AceMo at the helm, focusing on wider aspects of music production. Following that, on 15th March, Belfast producer Kessler will offer a lesson on ‘Drum Programming & Creative Production Techniques’ in Ableton 11.
On 19th April, New York-based artist Suzi Analogue will look at ‘The Art of the Remix / Flipping Tracks’, and Illinois’ Zvrra, fresh from a release on Shifted’s Avian label, will teach participants ‘How To Make Techno Music’.
There are 300 spaces available for each class, and they are free to attend if you sign up before 5pm GMT on 14th February. Beginners are encouraged to get involved, with no prior expertise in production necessary. Successful registrants will be notified by 18th February.
To register for the masterclasses, fill out the sign-up form here. To find out more about the classes, visit B.A.D.’s website here.
This latest series of production masterclasses from B.A.D. follows on from the launch last summer, with a run that took in classes from Loraine James, Russell E.L. Butler, KMRU and rRoxymore.
In November, B.A.D. launched the Black Creative Database as a means of shining a light on Black creatives working in disciplines outside of music production and DJing, such as design, digital media and visual art.
