Avicii photobook, The Life and Music of Tim Bergling, released
A new photobook celebrating the life and legacy of Avicii, titled The Life and Music of Tim Bergling, has been released.
Now available in English for fans worldwide through the official Avicii online shop, the book honours the musical journey of the late Tim Bergling, better known as Avicii, by chronicling his life through a series of photographs that span from his childhood to his rise as an EDM icon.
It includes rare personal moments, offering an intimate glimpse into the life of the much-missed DJ and electronic dance music producer, who tragically passed away by suicide in 2018 at the age of 28.
Developed in collaboration with the Tim Bergling Foundation, a charitable organisation established by Avicii’s family in 2019, the photobook aims to support the foundation’s mission to fund research and develop preventative solutions for young people experiencing suicidal thoughts. All profits from the book will benefit the foundation.
“We are proud to honour Tim with this book,” Avicii’s parents, Klas Bergling and Anki Lidén, shared in a joint statement. “We keep hearing about how much he and his music have meant to people. We hope his fans will enjoy this photographic journey and the story of Tim.”
The official description of the book reads: “How can you tell when a new star is born? When does it become clear that the present moment has the power to change the future forever? When Tim Bergling held his arm in the air in an iconic pose, he did more than get the crowd to dance – he also totally redefined electronic dance music.”
It continues: “This book pays tribute to Tim’s musical career and traces his life in images from his childhood to some of his biggest gigs, including some rare personal moments.

This photobook follows the release of Tim: The Official Biography of Avicii, written by Swedish journalist Måns Mosesson. Released back in 2021, the biography celebrates Avicii’s life and music while providing an honest portrayal of his personal struggles.
As well as the new photobook, a new documentary about Avicii’s life and music is currently premiering at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival.
Earlier this year, a new Avicii podcast, created “from fans, for fans,” was also launched, further commemorating the enduring impact of Bergling’s imprint on the world of electronic dance music.
