Armin van Buuren to kick off Ushuaïa Ibiza residency with 6-hour open-to-close set

Armin van Buuren’s summer residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza will get underway this year with an open-to-close set from the trance legend himself.

Scheduled for Sunday, 8th June, the opening party will give fans a rare chance to catch an extended set from the DJ as he plays for six hours from 5pm until 11pm.

In a statement, van Buuren said: “I don’t do open-to-close sets often, but when I do, it’s because the moment calls for it. Ushuaïa Ibiza is one of the most iconic venues in the world, and Ibiza holds a special place in my heart. Kicking off the summer with an extended solo set there feels like the perfect way to begin the season.”

The residency will run across nine dates, with shows every Sunday from 8th June 8 until 6th July, and then from 7th September until 28th September. After the opening party, van Buuren will be joined each week by guests, including Marlon Hoffstadt, Oliver Heldens, Cosmic Gate and Vini Vici.
