10-year-old DJ Michelle shares entry to DMC World Championship: Watch

10-year-old DJ Michelle has shared her entry to the the DMC World Portablist DJ Championships. It is the second consecutive year she has entered.

The DJ, who first entered the competition last year at the age of nine, is the youngest contestant to ever compete in the event, and entered into the World Portablist Championship category this year alongside 41 adults.

After making it to the finals, which took place virtually late last month, Michelle has now shared her scratching and portablist skills for this year’s competition via Instagram. You can watch her entry below.

Before Michelle, who is from Dubai, first entered the DMC competition last year, the previous youngest entrant to the championships was Japan’s DJ Rena, who was 12 at the time of competing.

The DMC World DJ Championships started in 1985 with the competition established to test DJs’ scratching and turntablist talent across a variety of different categories.
