Little Simz, Dave, Pinkpantheress nominated for Ivor Novello awards

Little Simz, Dave and PinkPantheress are among the acts nominated for the 2022 Ivor Novello awards.

This year’s ceremony – the 67th to date – will, in its own words, “celebrate creative excellence by British and Irish songwriters and screen composers” at London’s Grosvenor House on 19th May.

Among the nominees for the Best Album award are Little Simz for ‘Sometimes I Might Be Introvert’ and ‘Pink Noise’, the latest album by Laura Mvula. Shortlisted for the Best Album award including Little Simz for ‘Sometimes I Might Be Introvert’ and ‘Pink Noise’, the third studuio album by Laura Mvula.

Meanwhile, in the Best Contemporary Song category, PinkPantheress (‘Just For Me’) and James Blake (‘Coming Back’) are among those nominated, while Dave vies for Songwriter of the Year alongside big-hitters including Adele, Ed Sheeran, and Coldplay.

Back in 2020, Little Simz scooped the Best Album award for her 2019 breakthrough LP ‘Grey Area’, while Dave scooped Best Contemporary Song for ‘Black’.
