Stormzy confirms new album will be released this year

Stormzy has revealed that his third studio album is coming later this year.

The news was unveiled during a live gig in Cardiff last night (14th March), where an onstage video projection displayed an in-the-studio montage of Stormzy, followed by a message that read: “Album 3. Coming 2022.” Check out the video below.

Pre-orders for the forthcoming as-yet-untitled album are “obtainable first for those attending the UK leg of Stormzy’s ‘Heavy Is The Head’ tour; a personal gesture of gratitude to his loyal and supportive fans who have waited almost two years for the UK shows,” according to a press release.

This third album follows 2019 chart-topper ‘Heavy Is The Head’, which featured collaborations with Burna Boy, Headie One, and Ed Sheeran.

Last year, the beloved London MC was immortalised in wax at Madame Tussauds. 2021 also saw Stormzy confirm plans to extend his scholarship initiative for Black students at Cambridge University.
