‘90s Berlin techno club E-Werk to reopen for Pallas’ Temporary Club project

Storied Berlin techno club E-Werk is set to reopen for a weekend of events helmed by Pallas on 24th – 27th March.

Several labels are on board to curate the promoter’s ‘Temporary Club’ opening weekend, with Concrete taking over on the Friday (25th), Nautilus and Voxnox on Saturday (26th), and Hard Trade on Sunday.

Over 60 artists have been booked to play, with Gabber Eleganza among the artist slated for the Friday and the likes of John Talabot, Eclair Fifi, and Elena Colombi lined up for the Saturday.

Pallas are scheduled to take over E-Werk every other month. Check out the full line-up for the opening party below and pick up tickets here.

The iconic Mitte space, which is now a multi-purpose arts site, was once famously home to resident DJ Paul Van Dyk, who paid homage to the institution a year after it closed with 1998’s ‘PvD E-Werk Club Mix’ of his trance classic, ‘For An Angel’. Other regulars at the club included Carl Cox, The Prodigy and Laurent Garnier.

Feast your eyes on these vintage photos that capture the hedonism of E-Werk and Berlin in the ’90s.

In other Berlin news, a new book exploring various elements of the city’s nightlife scene is to be published this May.
