News

A documentary about some of the key artists from Brazil’s grime scene is set to debut online in 2022.

Written and directed by writer, DJ and music researcher Jesse Bernard, ‘COMO VOCÊ’ focuses on artists like Cena, Cesrv, SD9, Febem, MC Smith, Drope, TBC Mob and Lei Di Dai, documenting their approach to grime and UK drill, which combines the UK sounds with genres such as baile funk and dancehall.

The film was shot in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, and also takes a look at various social issues that the artists and other young people in Brazil are faced with.

The documentary will premiere via WePresent in March, and there will also be a soundtrack EP released alongside it, titled ‘Pra Cima’, which includes music by Cesrv, SD9, Febem and Lei Di Dai.
