Stockholm listening bar Hosoi has found a new location, a 120-year-old former slaughterhouse.

As Resident Advisor reports, the bar originally closed at its first location, where it hosted the likes of Sadar Bahar and Mary Lattimore, in March this year. Hosoi’s new base, located just outside Stockholm in Slakthusomårdet, is currently under renovation with plans to open in the summer of 2022.

Plans for the new space include a 350-capacity listening room, for DJ sets and live performances. This room will also reportedly have a larger soundsystem than at Hosoi’s previous space, constructed by Kenji Hosoi. There will also be a restaurant, wine bar and workspace within the building.

The team behind Hosoi currently have a five-year lease on the new space, and a number of initiatives are in the works to help fund the renovations. You can find out more here.
