Black Artist Database announces debut party with Lakuti, Tash LC, Otik, more

News

Black Artist Database (B.A.D.) has announced plans for its first-ever party, at London’s Colour Factory on Friday 1st October.

The event will see South African-born, Berlin-based Lakuti play the main room, joined by Worldwide FM resident and Club Yeke boss Tash LC and Touching Bass’ Errol.

Out in the garden, dancers can expect to catch Livity Sound affiliate Danielle, who was nominated in the Breakthrough DJ category at last year’s DJ Mag Best of British Awards. Fellow Bristolian Otik is also on the bill, as is B.A.D. founder, NIKS.

Tickets for the event are on sale now and available here.

Promotional artwork comes from the pen of Junior Tomlin, one of the UK’s foremost rave flyer, album cover, and club poster designers whose Afro-futurist work spans three decades. The event announcement arrives hot on the heels of B.A.D. unveiling a series of free production masterclasses for aspiring Black artists. Find out more about the organisation — formerly known as Black Bandcamp — in DJ Mag’s feature from last summer.
