Alison Wonderland, Octo Octa, and CINTHIE are among the artists who have contributed music to a new Tetris game.

The latest incarnation of the 40-year-old landmark video game, originally created by Alexey Pajitnov, ‘Tetris Beat’ features a mode in which players must stack the iconic coloured bricks in time to the soundtrack, which features work from a number of high profile producers. In addition to those listed above, the names also include singer, songwriter and visual artist Hannah Diamond, and Ninja Tune and Kompakt regular, Dauwd. The title is available exclusively on Apple Arcade.

It’s the latest example of the union between dance music and vide games. A recent DJ Mag column looked at new electronic tracks inspired by video games, while last month Moodymann became the latest face to make the leap from real-world club scene to Grand Theft Auto Online’s playable environment. The title’s developer, Rockstar Games, is also involved in CircoLoco Records, the imprint tied to the Ibiza club night, which launched in May.
