Lady Gaga and Elton John are working on a “hardcore drum and bass” track together, according to a source close to both artists.

The pair collaborated on the track ‘Sine From Above’ for Gaga’s sixth studio album, ‘Chromatica’, which was released last May. The tune itself isn’t dance music, but does have stylistic references to club sounds, while the LP overall featured a host of electronic music stars.

Now an unnamed close ally of Elton John and Lady Gaga has revealed a new version of the song — originally produced with help from Axwell, Burns, and LIOHN — is set to be released, and will “shock” fans.

“It’s about as far away from ‘Rocket Man’ and ‘Candle in the Wind’ as you can get,” the source said. “It’s gone from a pop-dance track to extreme hardcore drum and bass.”

Lady Gaga’s debut record, ‘The Fame’, claimed number one spot in Billboard’s list of the top-charting dance and electronic albums of the last decade. She also made Forbes 2019 list of the highest-earning music artists of the past ten years.
