Rihanna has secured her status as the world’s richest female musician, with the success of her Fenty Beauty line.
A new report by Forbes has confirmed that the 33-year-old singer is worth an estimated $1.7 billion (£1.2 billion). She is also only second to Oprah Winfrey as the richest female entertainer, with the TV host and personality worth an estimated $2.7 billion (£1.9 billion).
According to Forbes, the majority of Rihanna’s fortune comes from the value of Fenty Beauty, which she owns 50% of. The rest of her fortune is thought to come from her stake in the Savage x Fenty lingerie company, which is said to be worth around $270 million (£193 million).
Forbes reports that Fenty Beauty is worth a conservative estimate of $2.8 billion, and adds that all signs point to the company continuing to grow going forward.
Her previous fashion house, Fenty Skin, and a number of fragrances are also said to have contributed to her wealth.
Last year, Rihanna joined the likes of Nas and Megan Thee Stallion in signing an open letter calling for New York police reform.
