Pioneer DJ collabs with Off-White on limited edition controller

News

Pioneer DJ and Virgil Abloh’s Off-White have collaborated on a new, limited edition controller, the DDJ-1000-OW. The controller, which will be available to purchase via a draw on the Selfridges app, is a re-modelling of the popular DDJ-1000 rekordbox and Serato controller, adding a red strip to one of the decks. The OW model also adds a new ‘Sound Engineering’ logo to the controller.

Off-White has also launched a series of limited edition ‘Sound Engineering’ clothing to coincide with the release of the controller, including tees, hoodies, and a coach jacket.

Anyone interested in buying the DDJ-1000-OW can enter the draw through the Selfridges app, which can be downloaded here for iOS. Successful applicants will receive a notification and will have one hour to complete their purchase.

It’s not the first collab between Virgil Abloh and Pioneer DJ – in 2019, they teamed up on a transparent version of the CDJ-2000nxs2 and DJM-900nxs2 mixer for Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Art.
