London club Colour Factory is opening a new outdoor space.

Formerly Mick’s Garage in Hackney Wick, Colour Factory is set to open its doors with a brand new outdoor event space this Friday (16th), with a 300-capacity area dubbed Colour Garden.

Announcing the news alongside a run of parties in April and May, Colour Garden will host the likes of More Time’s Ahadadream, DEBONAIR, OK Williams and Dubstep duo Sicaria Sound, with Errol, Leila Samir and Hyperdub’s Ikonika and Shannen SP also heading to Queen’s Yard for the start of summer.

At the beginning of last year, Mick’s Garage spoke about the redevelopment of East London and the inevitable closure of the venue in the coming years. Booker, programmer and head of events, Adam Glover, said that “At points, the threat of the wrecking ball hangs heavily over our heads here at Mick’s Garage – but we ain’t going anywhere. Not just yet.” He added that it’d be “some years before these scruffy warehouse walls get knocked down, likely to be replaced by some fancy, shiny, new apartment block.”

You can book tickets for events at Colour Garden here.
