Spotify introduces Mixes – new personalised playlists

News

Spotify has introduced a new Made for You playlist type called Mixes, a machine-learning selection of tracks based on your previous listening and songs Spotify thinks you’ll like. It will replace the current Daily Mix series, and will focus on genres, artists and music decades like ‘Pop Mix’, ‘2000s Mix’ and ‘Bicep Mix’, etc rather than Daily Mix 1, 2, etc. Spotify says each Mixes category will have multiple playlists and will update frequently and automatically.

Spotify also says: “They’re designed to grow with you over time, so they’ll take your listening into account to help you discover and dive deeper into your new favourite artist, genre, or decade.”

The new playlists are now being rolled out for both Premium and Free Spotify users. Find out more about Mixes here.
