First 2021 festival with rapid COVID-19 testing, Unum, announces line-up

News

The first 2021 festival with rapid COVID-19 testing, Unum, has announced its line-up.

While festivals still continue to cancel and postpone amid the coronavirus pandemic, Albania has approved testing for social and cultural events, allowing the country’s Unum festival to go ahead from the 3rd June – 7th June in 2021.

Across the long weekend, the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Seth Troxler, Priku, tINI, and Sonja Moonear will headline the festival, with Dyed Soundorom, Praslea, Raresh and Traumer all lined up for performances too.

In a statement, Unum organisers said: “This event will 100% take place in a responsible way and covid-secure fashion as it has full government approval, regardless of restrictions in other countries.

“So even if it has to become an event for just locals or those able to travel, then this is what will happen. This is thanks to Swallow Events, our partners in this, providing their rapid testing service for the festival to ensure everyone who enters is tested and virus-free beforehand. We are taking all measures required to ensure safety measures are followed at all times and there will be zero tolerance on this matter.”

It was recently speculated that fans may be asked to prove they’ve been vaccinated for COVID-19 in order to attend live events in the future, though Ticketmaster, when drawn on the matter, said that it would only enforce measures in line with respective governments.
