Education & Bass are offering free DJ and music production courses for 7-16 year olds.

In a recent Facebook post, Education & Bass, who combine music and arts education with live performances, announced that they would be offering free access to beginner music production and DJ course’s online, using free software, for young people at home.

In a statement, Education & Bass, which was founded by Andrew Ferguson AKA Nomine, said that they wanted “young people in the UK and globally to be aware of all the educational material we have available, and ensure it is accessible to everyone.”

In November last year, online DAW, distribution platform and social collaboration service Bandlab launched Sounds, offering more than 10,000 samples and loops for free. Packs are made by artists as well as being categorised into genres and moods like drill, neo-soul drums, modern lo-fi and modern p-funk bass. Artists that made packs include Youngr, deep house producer Martin Badder, drum n bass artist Joe Ford and future house producer CAZZETTE.
