Eric Prydz announces Ibiza’s “biggest show production” ever, Holosphere 2.0 at [UNVRS]
Eric Prydz has announced his 2025 Ibiza residency, Holosphere 2.0, which will take place throughout the season at the brand new [UNVRS] club.
Billed as “biggest show production ever undertaken in Ibiza”, the “arena-scale” concept marks the return of Prydz’s jaw-dropping A/V Holosphere show, which debuted at Tomorrowland in 2019. Kicking off on Monday 2nd June, the show will run for 14 weeks up until the closing event on 1st September.
Prydz has spent the past few years developing his HOLO and [CELL] show concepts, with the latter holding down a residency at Hï Ibiza. Holosphere 2.0 will return to the scale of the original 2019 project, which featured one-of-a-kind 3D visuals and saw Prydz performing from inside a giant eight-tonne sphere.
After taking two years to build, the original sphere was destroyed in a stage collapse after its first and only appearance. Holosphere 2.0 aims to dramatically evolve the original concept. Designed especially for [UNVRS] – The Night League’s enormous new Ibiza “hyperclub” – the show will include a “feature-film’s worth of brand-new original animation, 3D holographic effects, and never-before-seen multidimensional layers of custom transparent LED”.
In a statement, The Night League’s Yann Pissenem said: “Eric Prydz possesses an extraordinary vision and talent for crafting otherworldly experiences—pushing the boundaries of innovation with every show. With Holosphere 2.0, he has reached an entirely new level, seamlessly blending cutting-edge technology with an ambitious scale like never before. I can’t wait to present this new chapter of Eric Prydz at [UNVRS], where audiences will witness something truly unprecedented—transforming this residency into a one-of-a-kind future-forward show that will redefine the global audiovisual experience in 2025.”
The announcement of Prydz’s residency follows that of Carl Cox’s weekly takeover at [UNVRS] last week.
