i_o has died, aged 30

DJ and producer i_o has died.

The artist, real name Garrett Falls Lockhart, passed away on Monday (23rd) aged 30. No cause of death has been announced.

His passing was confirmed in a statement via his official social media pages. “On Monday, November 23rd, the world lost a beautiful soul, Garrett Falls Lockhart, also known as i_o,” the statement reads. “This extremely talented spirit taught us that even if nothing matters, you can still lead with love. Garrett’s truth and soul lives on through the music he shared.”

Lockhart was a regular on the EDM circuit, and last year worked with Grimes on her album ‘Miss Anthropocene’, as well as releasing records via Deadmau5′ Mau5trap imprint. 

Tributes were paid online by artists including Camelphat, Funtcase and REZZ.
