Shanti Celeste shares new single, ‘SLB’, in aid of Palestinian solidarity initiative
Shanti Celeste has dropped a new single ‘SLB’. Check it out below.
All Bandcamp profits from the track, released via her own Peach Discs and Method 808, will go towards Operation Olive Branch. The grassroots collective aims to amplify Palestinian voices and support their critical needs, including mutual aid requests.
The single will be available exclusively on Bandcamp until 12th July. “If you enjoy the music and can spare a few pounds, please consider purchasing,” wrote Shanti in an accompanying Instagram post. “There’s an option to round up if you’re feeling generous!”
Back in May, a 62-track compilation featuring tracks by Nicolás Jaar, Simo Cell, KMRU, Juliana Huxtable and more was released to raise funds for Palestinian children. Numerous artists including Sepehr and JakoJako also contributed to a mutual aid compilation, ‘Moss on a Stone’, which raised funds to help a Palestinian family evacuate Gaza.
Back in February, the New York collective and label PTP curated a 93-track compilation with proceeds going towards organisations in Palestine and Haiti. Last October, the Stockholm-based label Cease 2 Exist released a compilation in aid of children in Gaza.
Earlier this month, Daisy Moon released her latest EP, ‘System Creak’ Peach Discs label. Listen to the DJ Mag’s Premier of ‘Tonyo’ from the release here.
The label also put out its third instalment of the Peach Pals compilation last year, featuring eight tracks that lean heavily on bouncy house music, and continuing the series which first launched in 2020.
