Eddington Again shares new track and visuals, ‘Petrify’: Watch

Eddington Again has released a new track, ‘Petrify’, with accompanying visuals from 011668.

‘Petrify’ follows the Los Angeles artist’s recent ‘Damani6’ EP, which was released in May. This new single finds them in more energised sonic territory, but retains all the hypnotic, emotive atmospheres that have coursed through their work to date.

Co-produced alongside Otxoa and Jerry Andrews, Eddington Again describes ‘Petrify’ as “a story based on experiences dealing with fragility in lovers and the people closest to me. Not having a place to fully be transparent about my past, gifts and heightened awareness leading me to dwell and cultivate my power alone in the dark.”

On top of a nimble beat and crisp guitar lead, Eddington Again’s vocals are poised and purposeful. “This music is how I transmute deep pain and what feels like an ancient sadness,” they said of the track on Instagram. “I pray it helps you do the same.”

Fellow Los Angeles artist 011668’s visuals are beautifully abstract, and make for a mesmerising accompaniment for the track. You can check it out below.
