Premiere: Cassie Raptor ‘The Trap’

Cassie Raptor will release her debut LP, ‘Predator’, next month. Have an exclusive first listen to first single ‘The Trap’ below.

After stamping herself firmly on the industrial techno map with 2022’s searing ‘Anger Volcano’ EP, the Paris-based producer and DJ returns with her long-awaited debut record. Inspired by her childhood spent amidst the clangour of construction sites, as well as the alluring nature of abandoned spaces, ‘Predator’ alchemises heavy kicks and industrial percussion with Raptor’s signature analogue textures.

The first taste of the album comes in the form of ‘The Trap’ (out Friday, 3rd May) – a scorched hard drum workout powered by burrowing synths and maximalist, mind-warping FX. It’s a fitting reintroduction to the Parisian’s thunderous techno prowess, which has seen her grace tastemaking labels including RAW and PlanetPhuture, and conduct crowds in darkened, sweaty warehouses across the continent.

Catch Cassie Raptor performing at the grand reopening of Berlin’s Anomalie Distrikt next month, alongside AMRTUM, 7CIRCLE, Lady Maru, Samantha Togni, and more. Tickets are still available here.

‘Predator’ is out 31st May. Have an exclusive first listen to lead single ‘The Trap’ below.
