Premiere: Ambient Babestation Meltdown & Borai ‘My Heart My Motherboard’

Ambient Babestation Meltdown and Borai will release a collaborative EP this month via Optimo Music, ‘Human Material’. Have an exclusive first listen to ‘My Heart My Motherboard’ below.

The three-track EP follows the UK duo of Rachael Williams and Boris English’s debut link up, ‘The Drum Machine (Must Be Stopped)’, which appeared on Ritual Poison’s ‘Pharmakon’ compilation last year. ‘Human Material’ sees them crafting head-twisting nocturnal transmissions for the late-night/early morning dancefloor. ‘My Heart My Motherboard’ is a wicked house cut with eerie electronics and an atmospheric cyberpunk spoken word; ‘Do Androids Dream Of Key Lime Pie’ is part aquatic breakbeat roller, part confessions of a rebel replicant. ‘You’re Malware’ is the best of the lot, a spine-tingling dark trance piece replete with hardcore stabs, acid bass and Williams’ most punk performance yet.

‘Human Material’ will be released on 12th April. Pre-order/save it here.

The release mark’s Ambient Babestation Meltdown’s second for Optimo, having released the ‘Who Goes There’ EP alongside JBS back in 2022.  Revisit her DJ Mag Fresh Kicks mix and interview here. Read DJ Mag’s At Home With interview with Optimo here.
