Aluna’s Noir Fever label releases debut mixtape from Moonshine collective: Listen

Aluna has inaugurated her Noir Fever label with the debut mixtape from the Montréal-based collective and party series, Moonshine, titled ‘Fédération Internationale du Bruit’. Listen to it below.

‘Fédération Internationale du Bruit’ – translating to ‘International Federation of Noise’ – celebrates African and Afro-diasporic club sounds, from amapiano to jersey club and batida.  The eight-track release includes contributions from the collective’s residents such as San Farafina and Vanyfox, as well as rapper Andy S, Uproot Andy, Banga, Sango, Branko, Negoo, Amaal Nuux, Mwamba and Aluna herself.

Check it out via Apple Music below, or stream it from other platforms here.

Steered by multidisciplinary Congolese-Canadian founders Pierre Kwenders and Hervé Kalonga, Moonshine launched in 2014 and have since put on shows with the likes of Kaytranada, Bambii, and Dåm-Funk while also expanding their remit to include NYC, LA, Paris, Milan, London, and Santiago.

They also launched a clothing line in 2019, and opened a non-profit community space called Club Sagacité, which provides resources and mentorship to creatives, with a focus on BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities.

A mini-documentary on Moonshine has also been released this week. Watch it below.
