FOUNDATION.FM announces International Women’s Day compilation with Ariel Zetina, Karen Nyame KG, Ikonika, more

FOUNDATION.FM is releasing a compilation to mark this year’s International Women’s Day.

Due to arrive on IWD (8th March), ‘BODIES’ spans 12 tracks and is split across two sides, with side A giving attention to “club sounds with themes towards the extreme, fun, harder” and side B showcasing “alternative sounds through notions of soft, experimental, downtime pieces.”

The release features cover artwork by Elise Rose and contributions from artists including Ariel Zetina, Karen Nyame KG, Ikonika, Luxe, Ouri, and more. Listen to Ariel Zetina’s ‘Shade Rattle’ and Karen Nyame KG & Ikonika’s ‘All On Me’ below.

As the label and platform’s founders explain: “We endeavour to continue this mission and showcase our position in club culture by creating a project that brings together the artists and producers who we have been watching and admiring.”

Pre-order your copy of the compilation from Bandcamp here.

FOUNDATION.FM (FFM) was launched in Peckham in November 2018 by Becky Richardson, Ami Bennett and Frankie Wells, as a music platform prioritising women, queer and non-binary folk. The platform’s label emerged in 2021 with the ‘321?’ EP from Swiss artist MILYMA.
