Photo Review – NYE at Hotel El Ganzo & Crania Mexico

Over New Year’s week, Hotel El Ganzo and Crania hosted four days of intimate DJ sets, beachfront soirees, and energetic parties with internationally acclaimed artists such as Diplo, Dixon, Deer Jade, Mano le Tough, and more. The New Year’s Eve programming also included wellness activities, art installations, and culinary experiences.

The NYE festivities were held in partnership with Mexico City-based soundcamps Mayan Warrior and MAXA as fundraisers. Set to the idyllic backdrop of CRANIA amongst the venue’s repurposed cranes and art installations, some of electronic music’s most respected selectors graced the decks of MAXA’s iconic art car including Higher Ground founder Diplo and Innervisions label head Dixon.

Each moment from sunset to sunrise was soundtracked by the world’s most forward-thinking selectors. The NYE programming also featured culinary experiences across El Ganzo’s additional venues including Veleros, a top-tier oceanfront restaurant, curated bar, and ambient beach club.

A 69-room beachfront hotel, El Ganzo stands at the marina of an old fisherman’s wharf in La Playa in San José del Cabo. Built as an epicentre for art and culture, El Ganzo boasts live artist installations, a top-of-the-line basement recording studio known as El Ganzo Records, and residency programs for musicians and artists alike. El Ganzo was also the first hotel in Mexico to receive the prestigious B Corp Certification for its sustainability and community efforts.
