Phase Fatal and Pablo Bozzi announce new Soft Crash EP, share ‘Free Yourself’: Listen

Soft Crash, aka Phase Fatale and Pablo Bozzi, have announced a new EP.

The Berlin-based duo of Berghain resident and BITE label head Phase Fatale and French prolific producer Pablo Bozzi will release the four-track ‘NRG’ via BITE on 2nd February 2024.

The EP is the follow-up to the debut Soft Crash album, ‘Your Last Everything,’ released last year. Influenced by Italo, synth-wave and more, the EP is led by new single ‘Free Yourself’.

Watch Australian visual artist JW Vigers’ video for the song, featuring Kyiv-based vocalist and musician Ready In LED, below.

Speaking about the collaboration, Ready in LED – real name Olya Dibrova – said: “I became captivated instantly with the idea of the track that Hayden and Pablo sent me. At that moment, I was a bit tired of carefree disco and wanted to reveal my dark side in music.”

“The demo sounded very daring,” she added. “This track demands attention to itself from the first seconds. My sources of inspiration were glam rock and grunge. I had a blast in the studio, and I hope the people on the dance floors will feel that energy too.”

Explaining the video, Vigers said: “Taking massive inspiration from Ukrainian artist Ready in LED’s artist’s poignant and timely lyrics I was inspired to create a world where the Maschinenmensch from Metropolis is in control of her own creation and therefore her own destiny. The joyful nature of this process is echoed in the technicolour landscape and the reflective quality of the chrome detailing frames this self-discovery.”

Pre-order ‘NRG’ digitally or on vinyl.
