Over 4000 musicians sign open letter calling for ceasefire in Gaza

More than 4000 musicians and performers have signed an open letter demanding a ceasefire in Gaza.

Put together by the Musicians For Palestine movement and initially launched on Thursday, 16th November, support for the letter, which condemns the “unfolding human catastrophe” in Gaza, has spread significantly since. Electronic music artists and DJs including Ben UFO, Kode9, Jamz Supernova, Brian Eno, The Blessed Madonna, Loraine James, Deena Abdelwahed, ABADIR, CCL, dj voices, Assyouti, I. JORDAN, OK Williams and Mykki Blanco have all added their names to the list of signatories.

“Today, we demand an immediate ceasefire and humanitarian aid in Gaza, and an end to the siege,” the letter reads. “The day after, our vision of a just and peaceful future for all must be our most urgent task. We urge everyone who shares that vision to join us.”
