Underworld announce reissue of ‘Drift Series 1’ with unreleased live recording

News

Underworld have announced a reissue of ‘Drift Series 1’.

In November last year, Underworld concluded their 12-month Drift project with ‘Drift Series 1, which saw the duo release new music and collaborative visuals every week for a year. It also marked the first full-length release from the artists since ‘Barbara, Barbara, We Face A Shining Future’ in 2016.

Following the cancellation of their North American tour in spring 2020, the duo will now instead celebrate their 40-year legacy with a reissue of the Drift series. Slated for release tomorrow, Friday 18th September, the package has been remodeled as a new 8-CD compact edition, with the bonus of a previously unreleased recording of Rick Smith’s pre-show set live at Underworld’s show at Ziggodome Amsterdam in November 2019. The new box set will also include a 50-page book.

Alongside the release, the duo will host a Reddit AMA at 9PT/12 noon ET on Friday, where you’ll be able to ask them anything here, and will also launch a new website with exclusive merchandise, raising money for selected charities.

You can purchase the ‘Drift Series 1’ box set here, and check out what’s included below.

CD1 – Episode 1 “DUST”
CD2 – Episode 2 “ATOM”
