New club opens in Berlin, Revier Südost

A new club has opened in Berlin.

The brainchild of the team behind Griessmuehle, the much-loved Berlin club which closed its doors earlier this year, Revier Südost is a brand new venue in the Niederschöneweide locality.

Housed in a former brewery, which has been abandoned since it shut its doors in 1994, the venue has already opened an outdoor venue called Baergarten. The indoor space will open once COVID-19 regulations are lifted in the country.

The Revier Südost team said, “Neither the closure of Griessmuehle, nor the numerous arduous removals and relocations could get us down. We are back—in the old manner, at a new location.”

Check out some photos from the venue below.

Last month, a series of concerts took place in Germany to investigate the risks posed by mass indoor events during the coronavirus pandemic.

Back in June, Germany committed €150 million to its live music industry.
