Native Instruments introduce standalone Maschine Plus

Native Instruments has introduced an all-in-one standalone production unit called Maschine Plus. Operating without a computer, it’s the first standalone Maschine product since it was launched in 2011. Maschine Plus features the usual Maschine MK3 form factor, with 16 pads, two screens, macro knobs, but now features instruments and effects onboard the hardware rather than controlling the software.

Maschine Plus is powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, 4GB of RAM and features 32GB of onboard storage, plus a 64GB SD card that comes with the unit to load your own sounds and samples. The unit also is WiFi-enabled and once you activate the device you can download your existing Maschine Expansions, alongside any other plugins and sounds, directly to the device without a computer. Maschine Plus includes Reaktor, Monark, Prism, Massive and FM8 synths as well as the Maschine Factory Library and Raum, Phasis and more built-in FX. Five expansions also come with the unit.

Round back there’s two line ins and a stereo output, as well as MIDI DIN I/O and two USB ports for adding class-compliant MIDI controllers like a keyboard to play your sample and synths. Watch the video below for more info on Maschine Plus.
