Berlin's CTM festival announces first names for 2023 event

Berlin’s CTM Festival has revealed the first wave of acts playing its 2023 edition in January.

Taking place across a number of venues in the city, the festival’s 24th edition is set to feature sets from the likes of Courtesy, Tzusing, Toumba, Tash LC, Van Boom and Nyege Nyege affiliate Authentically Plastic.

Eris Drew and Octo Octa are also scheduled to DJ b2b at the festival’s opening party at Panorama Bar, with the line-up for that particular event rounded out by Local Juice Soundsystem’s Hanaby and a live set from LSDXOXO.

As ever, CTM will host a number of special projects, with one of those next year set to involve a performance of ‘GLIA’, a piece by the late US composer Maryanne Amacher. Named after the brain cells which aid neurotransmission between synapses, it will be reconstructed by Ensemble Zwischentöne director Bill Dietz, together with members of the the Contrechamps and Zwischentöne ensembles.
