Everything But The Girl reunite for first album since 1999

Everything But The Girl are reuniting for their first album since 1999.

The duo, comprised of musicians and married couple Tracey Thorn and Ben Watt, took to social media to share with fans that they were back in the studio for the first time in over two decades, and would be sharing a new full-length project next year. The post reads:”Just thought you’d like to know that we have made a new Everything But The Girl album. It’ll be out next spring. Love, Ben and Tracey”.

Formed in in 1982, Everything But The Girl had top 10 UK chart success with their hit song ‘Missing’ in 1995, which was remixed into a cult dance classic by Todd Terry. The duo were also nominated for MTV, EMA and Ivor Novello Awards, and released their last — and 11th — studio album ‘Temperamental’ in 1999.

In a duplicate announcement via their brand new Instagram account, Everything But The Girl also shared a previously unseen image taken in New York in 1995 (above) by Brazilian-born Marcelo Krasilcic,”known for his photographs of liberated youth, artists, designers and musicians.”
