Mixcloud launches original track upload feature for artists

Mixcloud has launched a new original upload feature for artists.

The long-form streaming platform, which provides content including radio shows, podcasts, live streaming and DJ mixes, rolled out the new feature – called Tracks – on 7th October.

For the first time, it allows individual artists and creators to upload short-form, original audio to Mixcloud, which the platform says “means getting more of their music in the right place”.

As well as rivalling Soundcloud’s current dominance in the short-form field, the move makes Mixcloud the first and only platform to support live streaming, short-form tracks, and long-form audio.

Users can avail of a beta version of Tracks via Mixcloud’s website. As well as offering a way to get private feedback early on track uploads, the pro version allows for unlimited track uploads, as well as live streaming, HQ audio, monetization options, engagement stats and more.

Learn a little more about the feature via the platform’s YouTube channel below.
