Sonos announces new subwoofer for “powerful, balanced bass”

Sonos has announced a new state-of-the-art subwoofer that promises “powerful, balanced bass” and “cinema-quality sound”.

The brand new Sub Mini is the latest addition to the audio company’s home cinema line and promises their trademark distortion-free sound at around half the price of the existing Sub. The design is sleek, compact, and aimed at smaller-sized rooms.

“We’ve entered a more thoughtful era of streaming that prioritises quality over quantity, with creators and platforms investing in immersive entertainment experiences that put premium sound at the forefront”, said Maxime Bouvat-Merlin, SVP for Hardware and Operations at Sonos. “Sub Mini is a welcome addition to the Sonos family, rounding out our home cinema product line-up so listeners can experience cinema-quality sound that makes them feel like the main character — or player — in their favourite content”.

Created in matte black and white, the Sub Mini will be available globally from 6th October and is priced at £429. Visit the Sonos site for pre-order and more info.

Earlier this year, Sonos launched a new voice control system for its speak range, allowing users to control their music, including Sonos Radio and streaming apps, using their voice. Sonos also recently launched a new affordable soundbar called Ray, which costs £279.
