Watch Pharrell Williams throw first pitch at New York Yankees game

Pharrell Williams threw the first pitch at a New York Yankees game this week, as the iconic baseball team beat hometown rivals the Mets in a Subway Series game at Yankee Stadium.

Guests throwing the opening ball before the pros is a ritual in baseball that dates back to the 1890s. In this instance, Williams was invited to participate as a result of a new collaborative clothing line his brand, Billionaire Boys Club, has created with the Yankees. Earlier this month, the honour was given to Def Jam rapper Logic.

Watch the clip of Pharrell throwing the pitch here, and checking out some photos below.

In June, Williams unveiled a new collaborative single with Tyler, The Creator and 21 Savage, ‘Cash In Cash Out’. The latest in a run of tracks made with other artists, so far this year the The Neptunes and N.E.R.D. member has worked alongside Nigo (‘Functional Addict’, ‘Paper Plates’), Pusha T (‘Neck & Wrist’), and CALVIN HARRIS (‘Stay With Me’).
