KOKOKO! share two new singles, ‘Polo Muneni’ and ‘Nasali Nini’, on Transgressive Records: Listen

KOKOKO! are back with a new single, ‘Elongi na Elongi’, which translates to “face to face”. Listen to ‘Polo Muneni’ and ‘Nasali Nini’ below.

It’s the first release of the year for the five-piece outfit from Kinshasa, the capital of Democratic Republic of the Congo. Out now via Transgressive Records, the two new tracks “focus on the night time atmospheres of Kinshasa,” the group said. It’s “filled with energy and everything from the equipment to the sound system pushed to their limit. With amps smoking, wires melting and the crowd losing it.”

KOKOKO! are currently on tour with multiple festivals stops this summer, including Boomtown, Wildeburg Festival, Sparks Festival and Nuits Secretes. Expect to hear the new material amongst the setlist.

KOKOKO! released their acclaimed debut LP ‘Fongola’ in 2019, followed up by an ‘Instrumentals’ edition. Their only other music since was the ‘Donne Moi’ single, released October last year.
