Gorillaz tease new single, 'Cracker Island': Watch

Gorillaz have taken to social media to tease a new single, called ‘Cracker Island’.

A brief clip, which features each cartoon member of the group, was shared online this week, alongside the caption “Cracker Island is coming…” and the hashtag #thelastcult. Watch the clip below.

After that, the group posted two images — one depicting the full group and the other featuring member 2D alone — alongside the caption “2D is the chosen one…”.

It’s not yet known when exactly the new track will drop, but a pre-save link has gone up online suggesting it will be sometime very soon. The track has also been a fixture of Gorillaz’s recent live shows, with the live version featuring guest vocals from Thundercat.

‘Cracker Island’ will mark the first new music from Gorillaz since the release of last year’s three-track ‘Meanwhile’ EP.

This summer, the group are set to headline All Points East at London’s Victoria Park.
