UK breakdancing championships to take place at Kentish Town Forum this month

The best breakdancers in the UK will converge on London’s O2 Forum in Kentish Town later this month.

The UK B-Boy Championships will take at the North London venue on Saturday, 25th June, for a day showcasing the best crews and solo breakdancers leading up to the final championship battles. Dancers can compete for solo b-boy and b-girl titles, and groups of up to six dancers can take part in the crew battle to earn the World Crew Champions trophy. UK talent will be in the mix with European and international dancers, including Olympic-level competitors.

The day will be split into qualifying rounds in the afternoon and the finals in the evening, with tickets available for each session. It’ll hosted by artist, presenter and beatboxing pioneer Killa Kela, who has collaborated with the likes of Pharrell, Prince and Basement Jaxx. During the championship event, there’ll be a live performance by the Ghetto Funk Collective.

For more information, check out the competition’s website.
