Dave brings another fan on stage to perform ‘Thiago Silva’ at Coachella: Watch

Brixton rapper Dave sought to recreate his “Alex From Glasto” viral moment from 2019 at California’s Coachella festival this past weekend.

Once again, Dave picked a fan from the crowd to join him on stage to rap a verse from ‘Thiago Silva,’ his 2016 hit with AJ Tracey. Dave reacted to “Spike From London”‘s effort with a pleased, “Oh my god, speak to the people, brother.” The moment predictably made the rounds on social media.

Love Actually director Richard Curtis’s daughter Scarlett later confirmed on Twitter that Spike From London is in fact her brother Spike Curtis. “He has school at 8am tomorrow. He was picked out of the crowd. We have never seen him rap before…”

Tabloids were quick to pick up that Spike had released a rap album under the alias Petit Savage on SoundCloud when he was 12 years old, a fact that Scarlett admitted she “completely forgot”. “Also not sure I listened to it at the time. And he was 12. So I’m not sure it was rapping. I think it was just bad.”

The original video of Dave and Alex from Glasto has racked up more than 30 million views.
