Review – Balance Croatia 2025: A Progressive Paradise in Tisno

Well, Balance Croatia 2025, to say I’ve struggled to put words to paper is the biggest understatement I’ve ever made. As I sit atop the skyline of Paris having some ‘downtime’ after the time of my life, the time to verbalise those emotions has become real.

As tears of joy fill my eyes and my heart pounds with the desire to return to those earthy grounds of The Garden Resort in Tisno, bumping shoulders with faces that became familiar friends as the days grew longer and the amazing tunes spread love day after day, the yearning to dance more hits hard!

The family of progressive music lovers is such a blessing. Everyone was there for one another. There was no judgement, just pure ecstasy at the sights and sounds before our eyes, between our toes, and beating inside our chests! The world came and united across every dance floor on every day, night, and morning.

What struck me most was the genuine sense of community. Strangers became friends over shared moments of musical euphoria, and the barriers that typically divide us simply melted away under the Croatian sun. The Garden Resort in Tisno, nestled along the Adriatic coastline, provided the perfect backdrop with stages scattered across the property, from the Main Yard stage, to the Beach stage overlooking the water

Mixing amongst what us clubbers call royalty (our DJ masters) saw everyone swooning like teenagers, and it was magnificent to see and feel that energy! Australia’s Jamie Stevens came to the decks at The Yard stage prepped and ready to unleash a set that had the crowd heaving from start to finish. Other international acts gathered to hear the exhilarating emotions he was revealing to the growing assembly of fans! He did not disappoint, delivering his trademark blend of driving basslines and ethereal melodies.

Kamilo Sanclemente from Colombia was up next and proved why his uniquely crafted sounds are growing in popularity. His South American flair brought a refreshing perspective to the European-dominated scene.

Then it was down to The Beach stage, where one of the original ‘superstar’ English DJs was taking us all back in time to the ’90s clubbing scene: Nick Warren. A highlight set for many. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for this absolute banger when it eventually gets released!

From Marsh’s ramped-up set at The Olive Grove stage, it was then over to Sasha and Digweed and a packed-out stage to see in the sunrise at The Yard. Watching these two legends work their magic as dawn broke over the Adriatic was nothing short of spiritual.

Saturday’s menu was yet another day for creating history and memories. From Australian duo GMJ and Matter’s deep atmospheric synergy, onto the biggest smiles and most euphoric musical journey by Spain’s Henry Saiz to Argentina’s Hernán Cattaneo at the jam-packed Yard Stage. The veteran DJ proved once again why he’s considered one of the world’s finest. Following him, Guy J delivered his trance-influenced progressive set, impressing the crowds with his unique ability to blur genre lines.

Sunday’s Grand Finale

Sunday, the final day and farewell to Balance Croatia 2025, expressed tune after banging tune across all stages from all corners of our globe. Alex Orion’s Beach Stage set allowed festival-goers to witness why his productions have earned him a devoted following.

The back-to-back of the festival definitely goes to Kasey Taylor and Gai Barone. Their transitions between deep house, techno, and trance were sculpted perfectly for the captivated audience at The Olive Grove stage. Loads of grinning faces and hot shoe shufflers were cutting it up!

Seasoned veterans Dave Seaman, Anthony Pappa, and Quivver laced the Beach stage with their time-honoured sets before entertaining crowds with their back-to-back-to-back session. Meanwhile, German-born Patrice Bäumel had ravers dancing to his adventurous techno sounds until the sun came up and this ‘Woodstock’ of progressive house came to an end… but not a closure, as Balance Croatia has been secured for round two in 2026!

What made Balance Croatia special wasn’t just the world-class music, but the entire experience. The festival’s commitment to sustainability was evident throughout, whilst Croatian hospitality shone through every interaction. Morning yoga sessions overlooking the Adriatic provided the perfect counterbalance to late-night dancing, and food trucks served everything from traditional Croatian cuisine to international favourites.

The Lasting Impact

The body has recovered days on; my soul has been cleansed, and my mind is still blown away by the event that has just scarred so many of us positively for eternity! Balance Croatia 2025 wasn’t just a festival but a statement that progressive house music is alive, thriving, and ready to inspire a new generation.

As the Croatian sunset painted the sky on that final evening, with Bäumel’s techno rhythms providing our farewell soundtrack, it was impossible not to feel that we’d all been part of something truly special. With tickets for Balance Croatia 2026 expected to go on sale soon, one thing is certain, this won’t be the last time Tisno plays host to this progressive paradise.

Rating: 10/10

Balance Croatia 2025 proved that progressive house isn’t just surviving—it’s flourishing. A perfect blend of legendary artists, rising stars, stunning location, and passionate fans created an unforgettable experience.
