20/20 Vision celebrates 30 years w/ Ricardo Villalobos, Craig Richards Full Circle Vol. 2

20/20 Vision continue to celebrate 30 years of the label with the next installment of Full Circle. The series features highly sought rarities from the imprint sitting alongside new remixes, edits and unreleased versions. Full Circle Volume 1, which came out back in February, featured classics from Christian Löffler, Tuccillo, Art of Tones & the first ever 20/20 Vision record produced by Wulf n Bear. 

Volume 2 focuses on heavyweight remixes from the label’s co-founder Carl Finlow aka Random Factor (RF). Featuring unreleased exclusive re-works courtesy of Ricardo Villalobos, Craig Richards, A Love From Outer Space & Bobby.

Ricardo Villalobos – Easy Lee has stood the test of time as a unique slice of non-definable electronic innovation since first appearing in 2003 on his debut album Alcachofa. What is less commonly known is that Ralph Lawson had heard Easy Lee at fabric prior to release and it had blown his mind to the extent that he’d begun talks with Playhouse to release the track on 20/20 Vision and commissioned an RF Remix but was ultimately unsuccessful in bringing the track to the Leeds based label. So, the remix sat gathering dust for over two decades despite Lawson & Finlow knowing it was gold dust before Full Circle created the perfect opportunity to finally release it to the world. Ricardo gave his blessing, and the rest will be history…

Craig Richards was also playing on that same night in 2003 and has been a solid supporter of Carl’s output since the beginning championing ‘Convergence’ producing a remix that has also been a long time in the making. Road tested for the first time on the Derren Smart stage at Houghton this is Richards at his indefinable best delicately crafting intricate sound design. 

The fabric full circle continues with fellow resident Bobby. producing an absolute beast of a remix for ‘Lockdown’. This is a no holds barred rabble rouser that was also tested over the summer’s festivals notably at Genesys Block 9, Glastonbury destroying the place in the process. 

The record is completed by Sean Johnson aka Hardway Bros remixing Digitize with a bass heavy interpretation for the ALFOS heads full of fond memories of Weatherall and with a nod to German innovators Can. 

20/20 Vision brings it all home to showcase Full Circle live and direct incoming shows at: fabric on October 25th feat. a two room takeover with random factor live + ralph lawson, Voigtmann, Liquid Earth, Make A Dance, B.Love. HIFI Leeds on November 8th with Crazy P, ralph lawson & PBR Streetgang. Refuge New York on November 15th with chez damier, ralph lawson & John Tejada.
