The Rolling Stones Seemingly Confirm New Album ‘Foreign Tongues’
After a series of cryptic billboards appeared in major cities across the globe, it appears The Rolling Stones have finally revealed the title of their highly anticipated follow-up to 2023’s Hackney Diamonds. The upcoming record is expected to be titled Foreign Tongues and is slated for a July release.

A series of images showing billboards in locations including Australia, France, Poland, and the UK were shared to the rock legends’ official Instagram account on Sunday, April 26. The displays feature the band’s iconic tongue logo alongside the same phrase repeated in various languages, strongly hinting at the Foreign Tongues title.
The campaign follows the recent release of the vinyl-only single Rough & Twisted, issued under the band’s past pseudonym, The Cockroaches. Fans have been quick to connect the dots, noting that the lyrics to the new track explicitly feature the line: “Why don’t you teach me/ Teach me all those foreign tongues?”

The band has once again collaborated with producer Andrew Watt, who previously worked on Hackney Diamonds. Reports suggest this project is just the beginning of a prolific period for the group, with at least 10 additional songs already written for future release. While new music is on the horizon, a full-scale tour remains unlikely for the immediate future, following the cancellation of 2026 stadium plans due to scheduling conflicts.
