The Rolling Stones Announce Official Podcast ‘Speaking In Tongues’

The Rolling Stones have officially announced a new podcast series, Speaking In Tongues, providing fans with an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the creation of their highly anticipated new album, Foreign Tongues, which is set for release on July 10.

The six-episode series will feature in-depth interviews with core band members Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood, with narration provided by the acclaimed Norah Jones. The podcast promises to delve into the band’s studio techniques, creative influences, and the evolution of their songwriting process.

Beyond the core trio, the series will highlight contributions from key collaborators, including producer Andrew Watt and The Cure frontman Robert Smith, both of whom appear on the upcoming record. The late, legendary drummer Charlie Watts is also featured on the album, marking a poignant moment for the band’s long-term legacy.

Foreign Tongues serves as the follow-up to the band’s 2024 success, Hackney Diamonds. The upcoming project has already generated significant buzz, particularly regarding its diverse sound palette. In a recent discussion, Jagger noted the band’s desire to explore various genres, including country music, stating: “The Stones has the ability to do ballads and country music and dance music, they run in the gamut of all these styles. We’re not stuck in one particular style.”

The first episode of Speaking In Tongues is scheduled to go live on June 25. Fans can expect a deep dive into the record’s production, including never-before-heard studio outtakes and insights into the album’s unique tracklist.
