T.H.E – A warm welcome to T.H.E – Music Essentials, Ellie! Where in the world can our readers find you currently?
Ellie Sax – With the end of the Ibiza season, I’m back in the UK
T.H.E – Having recently released ‘It’s Really That Simple’, is this your first signing to Front Of House Recordings?
Ellie Sax – We released “don’t lie to me” with the amazing Charlotte Haining with front of house records back in 2020 and have another track coming out with them later this autumn.
T.H.E – When did you start production on the single & can you tell us a little about the process?
Ellie Sax – Harry (my husband, DJ & co-producer) and I started working on it’s really that simple in spring 2024 – we were back in the UK rain dreaming of the Ibiza sun which was our inspiration for the track. We love working together to build a track around a sax line and tried to really capture that Balearic feeling of freedom with Its Really That Simple.
T.H.E – Hailed as a much sought after saxophonist, performer & DJ, what events did you close out the Summer season with?
Ellie Sax – I closed out the summer with SIN Sunday closing at O beach and some amazing festivals back in the UK – it’s been such a fun summer and they were an awesome way to finish it off perfectly!
T.H.E – Are there any plans for remixes of ‘It’s Really That Simple’ to follow?
Ellie Sax – Yes – very excited for them!
T.H.E – And finally, what’s next release wise for you, as we look into the Autumn period?
Ellie Sax – We have a great new track “lights out” coming out with Front of House later this autumn
