Phoebe Bridgers to Premiere New Album ‘Lost Weekend’ in Planetariums Worldwide
Indie icon and Boygenius member Phoebe Bridgers is set to premiere her highly anticipated third solo album, Lost Weekend, through a unique series of immersive planetarium shows held worldwide. The project, which serves as the follow-up to her critically acclaimed 2020 record Punisher, will be officially released next Friday, August 14, via Dead Oceans.
Bridgers has partnered with Spotify to bring this ambitious sonic and visual experience to fans. Beginning Monday, August 10, over 300 midnight album release parties and 44 specialized planetarium events will take place across the globe. Attendees at these venues will be treated to one of two custom visual accompaniments: a dome show designed by renowned night-sky photographer Babak Tafreshi or an immersive laser display created by Laser Fantasy.
An Immersive Global Experience
The planetarium tour spans major cities across the United States, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. To ensure an undistracted, high-fidelity listening environment, all events will be strictly phone and camera-free, with attendees required to secure their devices in Yondr pouches upon arrival.
Bridgers, who has already teased the record with the lead single Lost Boys, continues to build anticipation for the project. The album is confirmed to feature contributions from her Boygenius bandmates Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus, alongside appearances from Christian Lee Hutson and Jack Antonoff.

Following the album’s release, Bridgers will embark on a comprehensive tour across North America, the UK, and Europe. The tour will feature support from Alex G for North American dates, with Isaac Wood supporting the UK and European legs. In keeping with the intimate nature of her recent performances, the singer has confirmed a strict “no phones” policy for all upcoming live shows.
For fans eager to participate in the Lost Weekend launch, tickets and venue information for the planetarium listening sessions are available through official channels. With over 300 midnight release parties also scheduled globally, the rollout promises to be one of the most expansive and immersive music events of the year.
